Though I run my own business, principally concerned with writing and designing for publications, I am currently in my third and final year of a BA Hons in Graphic Communication, studying at ATRiuM, Cardiff – the creative arts campus of the University of Glamorgan. As part of my
on-line portfolio project I'll be using this blog to showcase some of my work from both spheres.

Cause advertising – The Big Issue

This image is one of the final outcomes in a college project. The brief was chosen from one of several in the 2010/11 YCN student design competition. It was quite a complex and demanding brief which called for the avoidance of stereo-typing and promotion of a more positive view of the homeless and of The Big Issue's work. This image and two accompanying ones offer a perspective on Big Issue street sellers as embryonic business people getting their lives back together. Click on the image to see a bigger version.
