Not so much a blog – more a shop window

Though I run my own business, principally concerned with writing and designing for publications, I am currently in my third and final year of a BA Hons in Graphic Communication, studying at ATRiuM, Cardiff – the creative arts campus of the University of Glamorgan. As part of my
on-line portfolio project I'll be using this blog to showcase some of my work from both spheres.

Cause campaigning

This image is a final outcome for a college project concerning visible language – in this case advertising. The brief was fairly open. I decided to concentrate on a public information (or 'cause') campaign – road safety. The thinking behind the realisation featured here is that as drivers we tend to become over-relaxed about signage and warnings on the road. They might just as well be nonsense for all the notice we take of them sometimes. Yet they are there for a reason – road safety. Click on the image to see a bigger version.
